Meeting: “Photonics at final Frontier”

On 13th and 14th September, we attend to the meeting “Photonics at final Frontier” event to be held at the European Space Agency (ESA) and organised by EPIC – European Photonics Industry Consortium.

In this meeting, several experts and professionals will exchange information, experiences, and knowledge about how photonics is becoming a key technology in the space engineering sector and it will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and opinions on the technologies currently addressing new space applications.

The design and development of optics and opticla systems for aerospace applications and space instrumentacion are one of ASE Optics Europe’s fields of expertise. For example, the design and development of a custom SWIR lens for the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) to be incorporated in the DRAGO-2 camera within the framework of its ALISIO-1 mission; and our participation in the project MORERA, an R&D project in irrigation monitoring with new space sensors.
