Mr. Andrés Cifuentes to Showcase Cutting-Edge Earth Observation Technology at OASIS9 in Tel Aviv

We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Mr. Andrés Cifuentes, will be a featured presenter at the prestigious OASIS9 conference, taking place on March 10-11, 2025, at the David International Hotel in Tel Aviv, Israel.

OASIS9, the ninth installment of the highly successful OASIS (Optical Engineering and Science in Israel) series, is a premier gathering for scientists and engineers from academia, industry, and research institutions worldwide. The conference focuses on the most recent breakthroughs in optics and photonics, both globally and within Israel, providing a unique opportunity to explore the forefront of this dynamic field.

Mr. Cifuentes’ presentation, titled “Compact high-resolution LWIR optical system for the Earth Observation in support of smart farming,” will delve into our innovative “Morera” system, a compact and high-resolution Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) optical solution designed to support the burgeoning field of smart farming.

Why Smart Farming and LWIR?

Smart farming, driven by the need for sustainable and efficient agricultural practices, relies on precise data collection and analysis. LWIR technology plays a crucial role in this context, enabling the monitoring of critical parameters such as:

* Crop health: Detecting stress, disease, and nutrient deficiencies through thermal imaging.
* Water management: Optimizing irrigation by mapping soil moisture and plant transpiration.
* Yield prediction: Assessing crop growth and maturity for accurate harvest planning.
* Environmental monitoring: Tracking temperature variations and identifying potential hazards.

The “Morera” system represents a significant leap forward in LWIR technology for Earth observation. Its compact design and high-resolution capabilities make it ideal for deployment on various platforms, including drones and small satellites, enabling widespread and cost-effective monitoring of agricultural landscapes.

Mr. Cifuentes’ presence at OASIS9 underscores our commitment to pushing the boundaries of optical engineering and developing innovative solutions that address pressing global challenges. We believe that our “Morera” system has the potential to revolutionize smart farming practices, empowering farmers with the tools they need to optimize their operations and ensure food security.

We look forward to connecting with fellow researchers, industry professionals, and innovators at OASIS9 in Tel Aviv!

Stay tuned for updates and highlights from the conference.
