Conference SpaceTech: Challenges and opportunities as seen by Jaume Sanpera from Sateliot and Xavier Lobao from the European Space Agency

ASE Optics attended the on-line conference SpaceTech: Challenges and opportunities as seen by Jaume Sanpera from Sateliot and Xavier Lobao from the European Space Agency held on 7 September.

This event was organised by ACCIÓ (agency for business competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya) and Tech Barcelona. Its objectives were to reflect on the past of space technologies, to raise awareness of the future of this field and to identify the challenges and opportunities.

In this event, the applications of space technologies in other fields and sectors were also discussed, as we have already done at ASE Optics, being part of the MORERA project consortium as a technological partner, within the “Missions, science and innovation” call of the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI).

In addition, we have also collaborated with the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC) and IACtec – Espacio for the design and integration of the DRAGO-2 infrared camera, which will be launched on board a microsatellite at the end of 2022.

Here you will find more information about the MORERA Project and DRAGO-2.
