Night Vision and IR Optics Trends: Security & Defense

Night vision systems and their increasingly intensive commercial application are driving the demand for innovations in the field of thermal optical systems, as well as increased military investment in state-of-the-art night vision technologies.

In the light of this scenario, ASE Optics Europe and its team of engineers have developed night vision equipment with an improved optical subsystem and designed for integration with latest-generation intensifier tubes (GEN-III): NITIDUS.

In addition, along with RPO (Rochester Precision Optics, USA); ASE Optics Europe markets the new CNOD system, to offer high definition sight in bright sun or low light, digital still photo and video capture, and lightweight and flexible platforms that broaden the use case for night vision.

In the following videos, Andrés Cifuentes (CEO of ASE Optics Europe) and Rick Bryant (Rochester Precision Optics), talk about what’s next, and what it will demand of IR optics.
